A lot of time has gone by since my last blog entry and it seems like it was travelling by plane. We’ve been hard at work improving our flagship product Landboss as well as getting our upcoming mineral management application, Mineralboss, ready for release, which is what I’d like to tell you a little bit about in this post.
We have been in the oil and gas industry for quite some time now and have had the opportunity to speak with a wide variety of people from all over the country. Doing so has allowed us to identify an industry need for a modern and easy to use mineral management application, and as far as we can determine, building one will be like bringing water to a thirsty man in the desert.
Mineralboss has been development for a few months and we are nearing the release of the first stage of the product, which will be designed for small mineral owners and small family trusts and will contain just the features that they need and will be affordably priced.
Like Landboss, our land management and acquisition application, Mineralboss will be online and subscription based, so there will be nothing to install and you’ll be able to access your data and documents from any device with an internet connection. Also, since our primary focus has been designing a simple user interface, the product will be easy to learn and easy to use.
Our marketing and web design teams are hard at work redesigning the site so that you’ll be able to find out more about the features of the new product, see screenshots, and learn how to purchase it, but for now, here is a list of some of the features:
- Robust tracking of your contacts (attorneys, operators, etc.)
- Storage of all of the documents related to your properties (leases, pooling orders, etc.)
- Tracking of royalty checks (amounts, check date, which property or properties involved)
- Ability to link your properties with wells (which well is producing on your property)
As I mentioned before, more information is forthcoming, so stay tuned.
At this point, I’m sure you are wondering when Mineralboss is going to be available for purchase. Currently, we don’t have an exact release date, but we are estimating late January 2013, so in other words, very soon.
