Search Quickly Using QuickSearch

Hello again, welcome back to my blog. For this week's entry, I'll be showing you a new useful feature that will allow you to quickly jump to a Lease or Tract without having to go to the search page first. I'm afraid that we weren't very original when we named it, but this new feature is called QuickSearch.

Searching the Long Way

Before we implemented QuickSearch in LANDBOSS the only way you could search and view a Lease or Tract was by using its search page.

Example

This involves navigating to the search page, typing in your parameters, clicking the search button, and then choosing the item from the results. Performing these steps does not take very long, but using the QuickSearch is faster and easier. Now keep in mind that the search page is not some old dinasour that has outlived it's usefullness, far from it. LANDBOSS lets you search for Leases using over a dozen parameters so it doesn't matter if you know a little or a lot about the Lease you are looking for, the search page will help you find it.

Searching the QuickSearch Way

It is likely that there are times when you are working on a Tract or Lease and you need to quickly reference another one in LANDBOSS. Before QuickSearch you would have to use the search page which could result in a break in your workflow. Now, as long as you know the lessor on the Lease or the Tract number you can quickly search and view the Tract or Lease you need to reference, without interrupting your workflow.

Example

Though the design may change some before QuickSearch is released, it will be on the Side Bar so that you will always be able to find it.

Work Efficiently With Landboss

For those of you that have been following the blogs of me and the other developers on the team may have noticed that we are constantly looking for ways to improve your LANDBOSS experience and ways to help you work more efficiently. A development team that is always thinking of ways to make your job easier is just one more benefit of LANDBOSS. In fact, I need to get back to doing that, so I'll see you next week.
