We are proud to announce that LANDBOSS version 1.02 has cleared QA and is now live. We are already working on a small maintenance release (v1.02.1) which will address some fixes and changes we wanted to fit into v1.02 but weren't able to get to without delaying 1.02's release. More news on the next major release (1.03) will also be posted soon. This release adds many, many things but focuses mainly on adding import functionality for parties, tracts and leases. Here are the full release notes, and and as always let us know if you run into any problems or have any other feedback.
New Features
- The timesheet search page now allows bulk-printing of several timesheets at once.
- Added a quick search in the side bar for parties, tracts, and leases. Party search will do a full-text search and show results, while tract/lease panels will jump to a record with that tract # or lease code.
- The subnavigation bar previously shown just below the main menu has been moved to the sidebar and is now shown as buttons instead of links. This should make it more prominent and make what actions are available more obvious.
- Added another summary page to the ownership report of mineral ownership grouped by owner instead of tract.
- Added the ability to search most records by last modified date.
- Modified instances of "notifications" that appear on screen to use a common notification bar so they all look the same.
- Tooltips are now shown on most grids so that if content is wider than the column the full value can still be seen.
- Added the ability to import parties, tracts, and leases from CSV files.
- Added the ability to specify a disclaimer to be shown on ownership reports.
- Added an "Unapproved Expenses" column to the "People with Unapproved Time" page.
- Added "System Instrument?" field to instrument edit page.
- Added the ability to edit previously saved users on the user setup wizard page.
- Added the ability to export parties, tracts, and leases to a CSV file.
- Added lease forms fields for shut-in terms fields.
- Added lease form fields for separate S-T-R parts.
- For items that can be deactivated, "Deactivate" and "Activate" action links have been added to the action bar.
- Paged checkbox selection grids will maintain selection across pages of data.
- Added the ability to set a lease's status on every lease page by adding it to the lease banner.
- The lease banner that displayed on some lease pages (for example, whether it was a lease offer or not) is now shown on all individual lease pages. It also displays the current "category" the lease is in (offer, lease, dead lead, 3rd party).
- Added a new QuickBooks invoice export custom field - "JobProspect", which can be used to put the prospect name on a QuickBooks invoice.
- The company admin page now has an invoice accounts receivable QuickBooks mapping field that if used will specify which QuickBooks AR account exported invoices will be added to.
Errors Fixed
- Minor styling fixes on many pages.
- Fixed an error where running a report that showed the company logo would lock the file, meaning a new logo could not be uploaded.
- Error handling on the lease "Documents" page has been improved to conform to that of the admin "Forms" page.
- Fixed pages in invoice module that were not showing dollar signs for currency values.
- Fixed an error where the party search popup window on the tract owner page would not show all parties.
- Fixed an error when running the ownership report on a tract that had no owners.
- Fixed an error in setup wizard where user setup page did not have the ability to set users' emails.
- Fixed a minor error where the "Last Modified:" field would be shown when creating a new company party.
- When switching prospects with the "switch" link up top, if the current page was viewing/editing certain records then the current prospect would simply be re-assigned back to that record's prospect. This has been corrected by redirecting back to the search page in these cases.
- Fixed several errors on the party merge page.
- QuickBooks export error messages related to incorrect or out-of-date mapping were vague and not helpful in tracking down the mapping issue. This has been corrected.
- The Lease Package report page no longer requires a current prospect.
- Fixed a javascript error on the client admin page when using Internet Explorer version 7.
- Fixed an security error where certain users could use the setup wizard to create users with more access than the original user had.
Other Changes
- Changed "Signed" lease status to "Signed - Unpaid" to make it less ambiguous.
- Removed the delete buttons from the instrument admin list for system instruments.
- The lease "Parties & Tracts" page will show a warning if the lease's net acres are more than the gross acres.
- The party overview page has been re-arranged slightly.
- Separators have been added between action bar links.
- The "News" section now shows the news feed from the public site.
- The login page now checks for browser compatibility to ensure you LANDBOSS experience is not hindered by client settings.
- Sidebars have been added to every page so there is room for sub-navigation panels. - All pages have been updated to reflect this, except the chain of title page. This page has been hidden temporarily. It is planned to be re-launched in v1.03 along with other changes that are planned.
- QuickBooks invoice export custom field "JobCounty" now uses the format "County, ST" Fixed the lease package generation page that would time out if the package took too long to generate.
- Lease Template Name is now a required field.
- Special Provision Name is now a required field.
